Welcome to the Scanner Art Collection

By Kelsey Hamilton

Every scanner art piece is an altar where light, depth, and natural textures are fused in a long electric light moment; a merging of time, electricity, mirrors, light, and nature’s bounty of textures.

Pressed leaves, flower petals, twigs, strands of my own hair, freckled and wrinkled skin, are collected, displayed and captured intentionally on a flatbed scanner. They are then printed on metal to enhance depth.

15% of each purchase is donated to companies that utilize plastivores, which convert plastic into harmless byproducts like carbon dioxide, water, and organic biomass. Plastivores are made up of bacteria, fungi, and insects that have evolved to break down the synthetic polymers in our landfills and oceans.

The gallery below is a collection of scanner art that can be purchased in the print shop.
