Everything in nature has something to teach us.
Whether it’s the wolf, the dragonfly, the yarrow plant, your pet, or a griffin from a world beyond this one, your nature spirits are as unique as you are.
Finding a spirit animal can be as simple as noticing which creature keeps crossing your path, in dreams, memories, or the places you feel most awakened.
I have two offerings:
Hand painted animal portraits on natural wood.
Hand painted animal portraits on animal skin drums.
The drums are hand crafted using traditional Native American techniques and their sound is full and deep. With great respect for Indigenous traditions and the sacred role of drums across many Native and ancestral cultures, I approach these works with honor and awareness.
Every commission helps save the lives of animals!
10% of each commission goes toward building wildlife crossings over busy roads, returning safe passage to creatures who have been walking their ancient migration routes long before we paved over them.

Spirit Animals: We all have many spirit animals that help us along our journey of life, but our top three are our spirit animal, totem animal, and shadow animal. Our spirit animal is our true nature, our totem animal is our protector and often gets mistaken for our spirit animal because it represents the masks we wear to protect ourselves in everyday life, and last but not least is our shadow animal which is often the animal we are most afraid of or repulsed by.

To commission your portrait, simply provide a clear photo of your pet or a description of your spirit animal, along with your favorite plant or any other specific details or colors (gold perhaps?) you'd like to incorporate. Let's embody your bond with your animal in a way that brings presence and healing into your life.

Native American cultures believe that drums hold a living spirit that represents the heartbeat of Mother Earth as well as all the beings and synergies that exist throughout her. Feel these heartbeats radiate through your body with a beautiful powerful handmade drum, with the added strength of your spirit animal.
Drums: Using Native American spirituality and practices to stretch the animal skins, these drums are mindfully hand crafted by my amazing friend and collaborator Christiana Acree. She also offers drum-making workshops in Chester County Pennsylvania in the warmer months if you would like to craft your own. If you decide to take this route I would still be overjoyed to paint your spirit animal for you when you’re done.
